About Doctor
Dr. (Major) Abhinav Shrivastava is a Consultant Cardiologist at Regency Hospital, Gorakhpur, widely regarded as one of the best cardiologists in Gorakhpur. He previously served as Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Cath Lab Director at Fortis Hospital, Kangra (2023–2025), where he performed Himachal Pradesh’s first TAVI procedure and managed complex cardiac interventions, earning recognition as a leading cardiologist in the region.
An alumnus of AFMC Pune, Dr. Abhinav completed his MBBS with Honours (2009), MD in Internal Medicine from PGIMER Chandigarh (2018), and secured top rank in the All India DM Cardiology exam, completing his DM from PGIMER & Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi (2022).
With over 15 years of experience, he is an ex-Indian Army officer, decorated with four medals, and has served in extreme terrains including Siachen and Kargil, bringing discipline, integrity, and dedication to his clinical practice.
He specializes in complex and image-guided angioplasty (IVUS, OCT, FFR), CTO interventions, rotablation, IVL, and ultra-low contrast procedures for renal protection. As a highly experienced heart specialist in Gorakhpur, he also has expertise in pacemaker and advanced device implantation, peripheral and renal interventions, and structural heart disease procedures, including PDA, ASD, and VSD closures, as well as PTMC.
