Recognising the importance of heart health for a healthier tomorrow, Regency Health has been bringing Kanpur together through our “Karo Dil Se Dosti” Walkathon for the past three years, encouraging greater awareness of preventive heart care and healthier lifestyles.
Continuing this commitment, Regency Health organised this year’s walkathon on 4 October 2026 at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur, to mark World Heart Day. The event brought together over 4,100 participants, reflecting the community’s relentless support.
The walkathon featured a 5 km competitive category and a 2 km fun walk, offering participants different ways to take part. Both categories encouraged people to make time for their health while participating in a shared effort to promote an active lifestyle.
The walkathon was flagged off by esteemed dignitaries:
Mr. Satyajeet Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police (IPS)
Ms. Neha Jain, MD, Kesco (IAS)
Dr. Saeed Akhtar, Director Cardiac Surgery
Dr. Shashank Tripathi, Senior Consultant, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS).
Activities including push-ups, tongue twisters, singing and a hip-hop dance session added to the walkathon’s enthusiasm, creating an enjoyable experience alongside the focus on heart-health awareness.
Govind Sahu secured first place in the boys’ 5 km category, followed by Prince Gaud in second and Shyam Mohan Yadav in third. In the girls’ category, Ameesha secured first place, Laxmi second and Manvi Gautam third. Five participants from the 2 km fun walk were also selected as lucky draw winners.
