Dr. Abhimanyu Kapoor is a Director Surgical Gastroenterology at Regency Hospital Kanpur. With top ranks in all medical school exams, he holds an M.Ch in Surgical Gastroenterology from SGPGIMS, Lucknow, and has completed fellowships in Minimal Access Surgery, *Bariatric Surgery and Hepatobiliary Surgery. He is the first surgeon to perform Robotic Surgery in private sector in Uttar Pradesh with highest volume of robotic surgeries in the region. His expertise includes G.I. Oncosurgery, Hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) Surgery, Hernia and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction and Bariatric Surgery. He started the only DrNB Surgical Gastroenterology program in entire Uttar Pradesh and mentors surgical trainees. Dr. Kapoor is the founder of CATGUT, an initiative to train and teach surgeons to learn and interpret CT scans.
