Here are a few snippets from the one-day simulation workshop “ SIMULATION TRAINING IN PEDIATRIC EMERGENCY” “STEP”, organized by the department of emergency and pediatric critical care at the Regency hospital on the 14th of August, 2022. The objective of simulation training is to expose doctors to events and challenging situations they have not seen before, but could see, and then use them as situations to tackle issues in the crisis. This training helps doctor upskill in dynamic decision-making, leadership and teamwork, that are the key to success in the medical science. Around 40 delegates came from many medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh. They were made to face challenging situations in Traumatic brain injury, sepsis, cardiac arrest and cardiac arrhythmia, respiratory distress like asthma and croup etc. in a realistic and safe environment.
